FAQ
What is a fanzine?
A fanzine (short for fan magazine) is a multimedia collection of fanworks that is self-published by fans for fans.
What format is the Zine in?
The Zine will be free and available for digital download!
What is ‘dead dove’?
Dead dove, short for ‘Dead Dove: Do Not Eat’, refers to an AO3 tag used to indicate or warn about content. For example, if the fic is tagged ‘oviposition’ and also tagged ‘Dead Dove: Do Not Eat’, the author is saying, ‘This content is in here. Read the tags. If you click on this you are responsible for what you consume’. This will be the complete backbone of the ‘Dark’ section of the Zine.
What is ‘dark’ content?
Dark content features unsettling or disturbing themes, often evoking discomfort, horror, or fear. It is intended for mature audiences.
Is this project fixed? (Dynamic/Gender Identity/Etc)?
No! We are leaving all of that up to contributors. However, there will be opportunities to indicate preferences so that teams can be made with that in mind.
Will there be TWs/CWs?
Yes! The first few pages of both the NSFW and the DD/Dark portions will feature a table of contents with CWs and TWs.
